Paul Chen Tsuru Iaito

The blade is made of high carbon steel making it stronger than most practice swords which are made from aluminum alloy. However it is still lighter than a traditional Katana. The blade has a full length Bo-Hi with a beautiful Hamon and a generous curve.

The Tsuru series of iaito feature an opernwork crane tsuba, fuchi and kashira en suite; a black same (ray skin) grip wrapped with black silk leather ito; silver habaki, menuki, seppa, and shitodome; and a lacquered black wooden scabbard (saya) with a same-maki throat and a black cotton sageo. This sword has a blunt blade for training purposes.
